Budget Planner ("the app") is a local-only budgeting app for tracking recurring monthly bills. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

🔒
Budget Planner does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. Budget Planner has no account system, no backend server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. The app does not know who you are and cannot identify you.

Data stored on your device

Bills, due dates, categories, payment status, loan details (such as interest rate, remaining balance, minimum payment, and lender), your pay schedule, and your app preferences (currency, theme, etc.) are saved locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device, is never sent to us or any third party, and is only accessible to the app itself.

Bill due reminders

If you turn on bill due reminders in Settings, the app schedules local notifications directly on your device to alert you the day a bill is due. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on-device — there is no push notification service, and no bill or reminder data is sent to us or any third party. The app will ask your device for permission to show notifications, and on some Android versions, permission to schedule them at an exact time; you can revoke either at any time from your device's system settings.

Exporting and importing your data

The app lets you export a copy of your data (bills, pay schedule, and preferences) as a JSON file, and later import that file to restore it. This file is only written to or read from a location you explicitly choose using your device's native file picker — the app does not upload it anywhere or send it to us or any third party.

Third-party services

Budget Planner does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app works entirely offline.

Children's privacy

Budget Planner does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, and is suitable for general audiences.

Deleting your data

Since all data is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by removing your bills within the app or by uninstalling the app, which removes all associated local data from your device.
